Bridge Lessons at NBC - Start Thursday  7th January 2027

Enjoy learning to play bridge in a fun, friendly environment where you will meet new people & make friends.
Our Beginner's Bridge Course  is based on the Acol bidding system - a natural 4 card-Major & weak No Trump system which originated in the UK.  Previous knowledge of cards is not essential though it will help.   The course is also suitable for anyone who has played a little and wishes to improve their bidding and card play.

              The course this year will be in two 12-week terms, lessons are on Thursday evenings from 7.00 - 9.00pm.
               The teaching method combines powerpoint presentations with quizzes, practice hands and interactive tuition.
            The course will be led by Ruth Wethey certified EBU bridge teacher and Jon Bailey along with other members of Newent Bridge Club.
            Each 12-week term costs £100 and includes lesson summaries, quizzes, practice hands & refreshments.    We ask for a £10 deposit to secure your place, however if after the first lesson or two you decide that bridge is not for you we will reimburse you. 
 

 Term 1 Dates: Thursdays between 7th Jan & 25th March 

Term 2 Dates: Thursdays between 8th April & July (to be arranged)
