| LEARN TO PLAY BRIDGE |

Bridge is an absorbing and fascinating hobby, good for the brain and a great way of making new friends.
Our one-year Beginners’ Bridge Course mainly follows the English Bridge Union (EBU) ‘Bridge for All’ programme & is based on the Acol bidding system. Previous knowledge of cards is not required though it will help. The course is also suitable for anyone who has played a little and wishes to improve their bidding and card play.
Gentle Bridge sessions where someone is on hand to provide advice and guidance, run alongside the bridge lessons. Learners are welcome to play Gentle Bridge over the summer and join this group at the end of the year / when ready. Many of our previous learners now attend these sessions regularly.

Term 1 of the Beginners' Course (10 weeks of lessons) is now open for booking.

| * Term 1 Dates: Thursdays 8th, 15th, 22nd January; 5th, 12th, 19th February; 5th, 12th, 19th & 26th March |
| * Term 2 & 3 Dates: TBC |
The teaching method combines powerpoint presentations with quizzes, practice hands and interactive tuition. The course will be led by Ruth Wethey certified EBU bridge teacher along with other members of Newent Bridge Club. |
A 10-week term costs £100; includes the EBU ‘Beginners Bridge’ book (normal price £30), teaching notes & refreshments.
If after the first lesson you decide that bridge is not for you we will reimburse your deposit.
Also if you join us for a few lessons & then decide bridge is not for you we will then refund any lessons missed. |
