The Newcastle Charity Bridge Night held on 27th April raised the magnificent sum of £2000 for  this year’s chosen charity, the local Search and Rescue Dogs. 🐕‍🦺🦮🐕‍🦺

 Summer bridge (for May, June and July) started on 6th May. We will play on Wednesdays only and half of the events will be run by the Newcastle club and the rest by the Mourne club. We then take a holiday in August and both clubs will start playing again on their usual days in September. The pair with the highest average score at the end of the 3 months will win the John Redmond Rose Bowl trophy. To be eligible to win the trophy, pairs must have competed in 3/4 of the tournaments. If they compete in more then the best scores only will count.

Bridge Classes have now finished for the summer. We hope to start a new Beginners class in September. We also hope to run Afternoon Bridge once a week for Improvers.
