Triple Crown |
Following on to their success in the Chiltern League Teams of 4 (Michael, Madeline Lawson, Mahmood Nurmohamed, Eleanor Rice, Sula Turpin and Sue Oliver) and in the Spring Cup Michael Beer's team achieved the "Triple Crown" on Wednesday night (17th July 2014) when they won the Summer Teams beating 9 other teams. (The first success in this competition after many years of trying.) This made it a clean sweep for Michael's teams in the Chiltern League in 2014.
Michael brought his trophies to the Club on Thursday and Nicola Foster (Newbury Bridge Club's Secretary) gave a short speech of congratulation.
