| Charity Evening - Friday 7th August |
Charity evening on 7th August 2026 in aid of Newbury Cancer Care
(note - this will start at 6.30pm)
Our Charity evening is fast approaching, if you would like to attend, please sign up before Monday 3rd August. There will be a buffet tea, pay bar, rubber bridge and auction. Any donations for the raffle gratefully received , please pass to Yvonne Bell, Sue Oliver or John Harland. If you can donate a pudding on the night please contact Clare Reseigh.
We will have an auction for some unique experiences which you can bid for even if you can’t attend!
Cost is £20, with any surplus from the evening donated to NCC.

| Thursday Evenings |
There will be bridge on every Thursday evening this year. The first week will be Pairs Championship, the third week Individual, the fourth week Teams. The fifth week when it occurs will be a Relaxed session.

These are still running so if you'd like to play Duplicate Bridge online you can sign up for them as for any other competition. Tuesday is at 2 pm and Saturday at 10 am. Cost is only £1 per session!

| Bridge Teaching at Newbury Bridge Club |
Bridge is an absorbing and fascinating hobby, good for the brain and a great way of making new friends.
Dates and Times: Training sessions .....
- 7:00 to 9:30pm, on Mondays at the Westridge Studio at Highclere (a 10 minute drive from the centre of Newbury). Free parking on the premises.
Tutors: Sallie Cheek / John Harland
Session Types:
- First Year Course - The course follows the syllabus of the English Bridge Union’s “Bridge for All” programme. The full course which will be at least 36 session over three terms. New course starting in January 2027
- Improver Classes – these sessions consolidate and then build on the topics covered in the first year course
