Huge congratulations to Charlotte Bedford who has qualified with her partner Lucy Norman to play for the England Women’s team in the European Team Championship in Riga, Latvia in June. Good luck Charlotte and team. More details via this link

Congratulations also to Evelyne Thomas and Garry Towns who finished 3rd in the combined South West/Midlands National Pairs regional heat on Sunday 22nd March and a brilliant 5th overall out of 240 pairs. The final for the top 50 pairs are on 11th and 12th April and we wish Evelyne and Garry every success. There will be bridge on every Thursday evening this year. The first week will be Pairs Championship, the third week Individual, the fourth week Teams. The fifth week when it occurs will be a Relaxed session.

These are still running so if you'd like to play Duplicate Bridge online you can sign up for them as for any other competition. Tuesday is at 2 pm and Saturday at 10 am. Cost is only £1 per session!

Bridge is an absorbing and fascinating hobby, good for the brain and a great way of making new friends.
Dates and Times: we run training sessions
- 7:00 to 9:30pm, on Mondays at the Westridge Studio at Highclere (a 10 minute drive from the centre of Newbury). Free parking on the premises.
Tutors: Sallie Cheek / John Harland/ Brian Medhurst
Session Types:
- First Year Course - The course follows the syllabus of the English Bridge Union’s “Bridge for All” programme. The full course which will be at least 36 session over three terms. Will start later in 2025.
- Improver Classes – these sessions consolidate and then build on the topics covered in the first year course
