| EGM and Social Evening |
We will be having a Social Evening in the usual format on Thursday 19th November starting at 6.30 - cost £6.
This replaces the evening usually held at the end of the summer season which was postponed due to our Civic Reception.
Prior to the customary food, drinks, and some casual bridge there will, however, be a short but important Members' Meeting. The purpose of this is to explain the committee's plans to change our charity status and also to propose a change to our current constitution.
The change would be to item 12.4 which deals with the transfer of assets when the charity is wound up - a technical necessity if it is agreed to wind up our present charity and form a new charity in the form of a SCIO. Our present constitution would transfer all assets to Highland District on winding-up so a change is needed to avoid this. The proposed amendment will be displayed on the noticeboard at least 14 days before the meeting and will also be included in an email to all members.
The reason for wishing to change our charity status is to limit the personal liability of trustees. Should anyone want more details on any of this prior to the meeting please feel free to contact Club President, John Copland.

The Plockton Café Bridge Day on Tuesday 27th October is still open for bookings. Full details here.

| BRIDGE LIBRARY |
Some members may not be aware that we have a small but perfectly formed Library of books and other media for you to borrow without charge. It is located behind the door from the entrance room towards the kitchen.
There is material applicable for Beginners to Advanced players and a sheet to record name of borrower and return date: very simple.
I am unaware of any other Club in Highland with such a facility.
Please make good use of it!

Ness Bridge Club meets in The Caledonian Thistle Social Club, 28 Greig Street, Inverness, IV3 5PX

Ness Bridge Club was founded forty years ago. The club offers a varied programme of matchpoint and teams play, together with National and District events in the winter months. In addition, the club runs three teams in the District league. Matchpoint and teams play continues over the summer months and learners' classes are available from October each year.
New members and visitors are always welcome
