The first thing to tell your partner is there is an 8 card fit in the suit.
2 M - 6 – 10 HCP and 3 trump
3M - A Good 10 or 11+ HCP. Often called a “Limit Raise” it is Invitational to Game.
3M - 8 – 12 HCP and 4 of the suit
Opener Distribution Additions once a suit is established.
Void = 3 pts
Singleton = 2 pts
Doubleton = 1 pts
