| SEMINAR - 4TH SUIT FORCING |
Practice and Development - 4th Suit Forcing, Friday 21 August, 1 pm, Register HERE. Fourth Suit Forcing (FSF) is an artificial bridge convention used when a partnership has bid three suits in the first two rounds of an auction. Bidding the fourth, unbid suit does not show length or strength in that suit. Instead, it creates a game-force and asks opener to clarify their hand shape and stoppers. This session, will commence with a short seminar followed by the supervised playing of boards.

Tuesday 25 August 1.00 pm. Register HERE. Players will receive a souvenir booklet of the hands, with the recommended bidding and items of interest from the play. Red masterpoints are awarded to pairs who score above a certain threshold (usually over 54%) once national results are finalised.The Australian Bridge Magazine runs this event and will carry a full report on the event with photos of the top-scoring pairs in Australia.

McManamny Interclub Teams (Red Points), Sunday 27 September 10:00 am at Waverley Bridge Club. To enter on myABF click HERE. This teams event caters for all players, novice through to expert. MVBC will be competing against at least five other clubs. Enter as an individual, a pair, or as a team. Just add TBA to your entry if you don't have a full team. Mentoring sessions:
1st and 3rd Saturdays at 11am and 2nd and 4th Mondays at 11am
Bridge sessions:
Mondays at 1.00pm - open section plus Beginners Duplicate and also at 7.15pm
Tuesdays at 1.00pm and 7.15pm - open section plus Beginners Duplicate
Thursdays at 1.00pm
First week of each month is IMPs scoring unless there is a special event
Special Events replace normal sessions at those times
$10 per session, $15 for non members. The club is cash free - pay via MyABF or by card
