Bridge Lessons for Beginners

A 12-week program of lessons for beginners (as well as those who have played a little before but want to learn more) will be held from 10:00am to noon on Saturdays starting February 21, 2026 at the Monterey Bridge Club at 201B Calle Del Oaks, Del Rey Oaks, CA 93940. Each session consists of a lesson followed by playing to practice what was learned. The fee per session is $15.00.

There is also a year-round regular bridge game every Monday from 10:00 am until 1:00pm for those bridge players who have fewer than 99 Masterpoints. These games are suitable for those who already have some basic bridge knowledge (or have completed the beginner classes above) and now want to further improve by playing duplicate bridge with other people who are at a similar level. These sessions begin with a mini-lesson prior to the game. The lessons are ongoing as players advance, and drop-ins are welcome. The fee for these games is $12 per session.

The instructor for both these programs is Hetty Eddy. She received her ACBL teaching certificate in 2014 and teaches both beginners and advanced beginners. She is also a certified club director.
