Doug F "Corrected my mistake with great politeness, even though I am only a miserable worm in the bridge hierarchy." MS
Doug F: What a delight it was to play with Doug. He made comments on almost every hand which showed insights into both offense and defensive situations. He was quiet, understated and unfailingly accurate.

It was wonderful to play with Rhonda Foster- it was a dream come true. She seemed to just know what suit to lead me where I had some honours and where we could score tricks. She made some inspired bids and she can play circles around most opponents. It was a delight to watch her make some contracts that I don’t think others in the room could have made. She gave me some very helpful tips on how to improve my play in a very encouraging way. She is a true professional who will represent our country admirably when she goes to the World championships in China in September. I was so glad to have had this experience. GG

Mike W |
 Mike W - Game: Saturday
♠ ♥ ♦ ♣ Current Bid: $
I had a great time playing with Mike W. Between the Flower bids missed and the perfect Meckwell bid, we managed to stay off the bottom! He is a very knowledgeable and excellent teacher. Khob Khun Ka! ND
That was an awesome experience to play with Mike Dorn Wiss. He was accommodating my lower level of playing, shared some feedback in such a courteous way and most importantly that he puts me at ease, It was FUN! I am so grateful that he was my partner. JD

- Jim B was my mentor and I can't imagine a better experience! He made a learning session a lot of fun with diplomacy, respect and a great sense of humour while at the same time he was thorough and helped me in a number of areas with my bridge game.

Karen T - lesson |
Karen T - 4 hour lesson for 4 in one's home after July 19th, topic of your choosing.
♠ ♥ ♦ ♣ Current Bid: $
- Our lesson with Karen T covered various topics related to defensive play, including doubling, sacrificing, etc. Karen discussed some techniques that were new to all of us as well as reinforcing and clarifying current techniques. As a special surprise for us, Karen brought Duncan S to our session. It was great to have an opportunity to ask questions of two bridge experts. My defensive play has already improved as a result of Karen’s lesson. Great lesson and also had a fun time.
- I really appreciated the time that Karen T, Roger A, and Ron S put into preparing and giving their lessons. I learned new ideas and in the small group of four got to know them and would feel comfortable asking them questions in the future.
(When you bid for lessons, let me know how many are contributing to the bid. Or let me know if you need more people to make the foursome. Thanks. Nicole)

Roger A - Lesson for four in your home. (3)
♠ ♥ ♦ ♣ Current Bid: $
- Roger A’s lesson covered both play of the hand and defence. Lots of new information and ideas for improving our play both as declarer and defender. Now it is up to me to utilize this information. Excellent lesson.
- Ten of us had a group lesson with Roger A and we all agreed that he was excellent! He was well prepared, had a flip chart where he wrote out each hand that we played, and gave us printouts at the end of the session on all the hands we had discussed.
- I really appreciated the time that Karen T, Roger A, and Ron S put into preparing and giving their lessons. I learned new ideas and in the small group of four got to know them and would feel comfortable asking them questions in the future.
- Had a wild Mentor game with Roger (he is too funny by half!) - and turned in a very good result. His keep it simple approach to the game without a lot of gimmicks really focused on card play. Very interesting!

On Friday evening my partners and I enjoyed a long-awaited Bridge lesson with Jon Preston. Let me just say it was worth the wait.
It was such a good evening. We all have some new skills to try and thanks to Jon we also received individual advice on both our bidding and play.
We laughed; we learned; we had fun. No one got sent to the corner and our three hours were up before we knew it. KE, JC, BD, MT
