COMPETITIONS 2025/26

NB Everyone is welcome to all events, no need to pre enter. Bridge nights will run as usual, you won’t notice any difference!

Holland Cup

A pairs event to be played over 4 qualifying rounds. Will be judged by taking the average of the best 3 rounds.

Round 1 Tuesday 14^th October

Round 2 Tuesday 4^th November

Round 3 Tuesday 25^th November

Round 4 Tuesday 20^th January

Chidley Tray

A 1 evening event. To qualify to win the Tray, pairs must have played at the Club on at least 20 evenings, on any night, in the 12 months prior to the event – (either together or with other partners).

Tuesday 23^rd September

Pairs Championship

A 1 evening competition, trophies for the top men’s, ladies’ and mixed pairs.

Wednesday 29^th October

Louise Orme Cup

Awarded to the pair who have the highest average percentage score on Wednesday nights, having played together on at least 20 evenings in the year, as a pair. Cut off date last Wednesday in January 2026.

Lindsay Plate

Awarded to the pair who, having played together on at least 20 non competition Tuesdays in the year, have the highest average percentage score, and as a pair won no other trophy at the Club. Cut off date last Tuesday in January 2026.
