There are thousands today, who go out to play,
This game of cards, that’s a bit like charades.
Pull out all the stops, to get all the tops;
When BRIDGE is the name of the game
Each hand is a test, to bring out the best,
You find there is a need, to get the right lead.
Even when you begin, you are all out to win,
When BRIDGE is the name of the game
You look at your opponents’ faces, and trump all their aces
Make that devastating move, and show you can prove,
That cards can be fun, when all said and done
BRIDGE is the name of the game.
You carry on playing, you carry on praying
For a good hand, and you play extra hard
To win the tricks on the table, and when you are able
You win, when BRIDGE is the name of the game.
