wants YOU to defend the famous Golden Horseshoe Trophy we won last year!

Bridge Centre of Niagara, 2 Tremont Drive, Unit 5, St. Catharines
Flighted Team Tournament
- Five clubs competing: host Bridge Centre of Niagara, MOBridge, Guelph, Grand River, and London Bridge Clubs
- Two round robin sessions by each flight with VP scoring
- All team members must be within flight MP limits as of August 31, 2026
- ACBL sanctioned Unit Club Championship with extra MPs
- Schedule: 9:30 AM registration & refreshments, 10:00 AM morning session, 1:00 PM lunch, 2:00 PM afternoon session, 5:00 PM tournament concludes
$35 per person includes snacks before the start, lunch between sessions, and coffee, tea and soft drinks all day.
Pairs are needed in each of the following flights:
1. Open
2. Intermediate (Under 2000 MPs)
3. Novice (Under 500 MPs)
4. Rookie (0–199 MPs)
Interested pairs should sign up at the club or contact Amy Yin at ajycan@gmail.com or 416-806-6813 by August 22nd.
Two pairs in each flight will be selected based on their performance as a pair in club games over the next few weeks.
Only ACBL members can play in this tournament.

We need people to help organize and manage the various areas of building maintenance, and, when necessary, oversee the contractors.
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Handyman work which is contracted to someone
- Liaising with cleaners who are contracted to the club
- Operations of all small and large appliances and fixtures
- Communicating facility issues to the Board President to be addressed by the landlord
- Ensure one person maintains the key holder list
- Prepare a budget for larger facility projects
- Ensuring club is organized and clear of any clutter.
- Liaise with the Landlord regarding Heat and air conditioning
Ideally one person will be the lead and will ensure all responsibilities are covered off by members.
Original receipts are to be submitted to the book keeper for reimbursement.

REMINDERS
CLUBHOUSE ETIQUETTE
- Please ensure that you are at the club at least 5 minutes before your game start time. If your partner is not there by then, please check to see if they are on their way.
- Please play nice in particular to newer or less experienced players.
- As we are fast approaching cold and flu season (as well as Covid), We would like to remind people to stay home if you are sick. Masks are encouraged if you are at risk. We want everyone to stay well.
- Please take a moment to look around and clean up after yourselves at the end of your game. The directors and your fellow members will be most appreciative of your efforts. Thank you.
Under Law 74 of The Laws of Bridge - Conduct and Etiquette
- A Player shall maintain a courteous attitude at all times
- A Player should carefully avoid any remark or gesture that may cause annoyance or embarrassment to another player and/or interfere with their enjoyment of the game
- A Player should refrain from making gratuitous comments during the auction and play
- A Player should follow uniform and correct procedure in bidding, calling, and playing
ALLERGIES
- we are a fragrance/scents free facility. Some people are very sensitive/ALLERGIC to perfumes.
- we are a nut-free facility when buying or bringing in treats. We have a number of people with severe allergies. Even the smell of nuts can produce a severe anaphylactic response.
CELLPHONES
As a courtesy to all participants in the game, players are expected to turn their phones to Silent mode, Vibrate mode, or Off during the game. Turning sound to zero is insufficient. Phones may be looked at between rounds (not during play). Speak to the director, if you have exceptional circumstances.
PAYMENT
You can always use your purchased "Prepaid" cards to play, but if you are not a member for the current year, there is an extra $4.00 game fee, plus any additional for Special Games.
Please note that you can pay at the Club by CASH, DEBIT CARD or CHEQUE (Cheque must be made out to Mississauga-Oakville Community Bridge Club (no abbreviations accepted by the bank).
When playing, at least one of the pair MUST be keeping score on a scoresheet and it is a MUST that each partnership have a completed Convention Card (both F2F & Virtual). If you show up as a single please have a completed Convention Card with you.

Please be at the club at least 10 minutes before game start time. This also applies to Virtual games. The directors have to set up the game and late arrivals may affect the game movement/set up. Some cannot be changed.
All F2F games have the "HOST" feature. Presently, you can HOST as often as you wish. Note that you must be a MObridge Member to use this feature.

We are a permanent bridge facility serving the western GTA, with a wide range of bridge games and educational offerings.
