The second-ever MIDLANDS MIXED TEAMS Championship will take place on RealBridge on Saturday 6th July 2024. This is organised by the Midlands Counties WG, but teams from any county in the country are welcome to play. The event will be Swiss Teams if we have enough entries and of about 28 boards in length, starting at 1400 hrs and finished before 1800 hrs. In this context a Mixed Team is a team with two Mixed Pairs, and the entry fee is £12 per team.  Counties can enter as many teams as they like, and in the results list teams will be given ranking points from the bottom (who get 1).  The county score is the sum of the three highest ranking point scores of their teams.

The event will be played with screens and self-announcing of bids. This means that throughout the hand you can chat to one of the opponents without disturbing the rest of the table or passing Unauthorised Information, and at the end of the hand and the end of the stanza, you can see and talk to the whole table.  Scoring will by by VPs and the event will be run with barometer scoring.
