I am very sad to inform you that Michael died suddenly, peacefully and unexpectedly at home on the morning of Saturday 24th May.

He was sitting in his chair at home waiting for Pat to bring him a cup of coffee. 

It seems that he experienced no pain which was a blessing for him.

We extend our sympathies to Pat, Suzy, Michelle and all his family.

The funeral, will be at Stockport Crematorium, Rowan Chapel on Monday 23rd June at 11:30am

Adam, together with Julia Bannister is delighted to announce a bridge holiday in the delightful seaside town of Lytham St Annes!

The hotel we have chosen is the family run Bedford Hotel which is 1 of 33 silver –star hotels in the UK and one of only two hotels on Fylde Coast with an AA Rosette restaurant.

The Hotel is very well placed near the beach, promenade, gardens and shops. There is onsite car parking together with free WiFi , a gym and lift. Lytham is easily accessible by train but if there is enough demand we will hire a coach

Programme

• Welcome drinks reception first evening;

• Three evenings bridge and two mornings bridge, one of which will be a team event

• An afternoon seminar with notes and a practice session afterwards;

• Pre dealt boards with Bridgemate scoring.

There will be a charge of £60.00 per person for the bridge. Please put a cheque or cash in an envelope marked with your name and hand it to either Adam or Julia at the start of play on the Tuesday night

There will be no bridge on Monday 27th May (Spring Bank Holiday)

Bridge will resume on Monday 3rd June
