Hi all,

 

The Castle Golf Club has been booked for our Christmas Party on Friday the 5th December 2025. 

The cost is €45.00, and the preferred method of payment is by bank transfer to the Marley Bridge Club account. IBAN is IE47BOFI90109526203009   BIC is BOFIIE2D.  Please ensure that you identify yourself when making the payment.

Payment must be made by Wednesday the 26th of November as the Golf Club has asked us to confirm numbers 10 days in advance of the party.

Once we confirm numbers with them they will charge for that number so if nearer the time you need to cancel, unfortunately there will be no refund.

If you have any dietary requirements please let me know.

Look forward to seeing everyone there, particularly new members.

The Rules
  1. Teams shall consist of four or more players, with one guest player per team allowed.
  2. Players may be added during the league up to a maximum of six.
  3. No individual may play for more than one team.
  4. The same four players must play all of a match, no substitutes during a match.
  5. Matches shall consist of two halves of eight boards in each half.
  6. Matches shall be played in one session, excepting two sessions may be used providing both Team Captains agree.
  7. Both captains have equal responsibility for scheduling matches.
  8. Matches shall be completed by midnight on Sunday and the result advised to the League Co-Ordinator by NOON on the following day.
  9. Failure to advise the result on time will result in each team being awarded ZERO points.
  10. Each team will play every other team in the league once only.
  11. The top four teams will meet in a semi-final and final.
  12. In the event of a tie on Victory Points then the result of the match between the teams shall decide who finishes higher.
  13. If that match had been tied then there will be a coin toss.
  14. The draw for the semi-final shall be 1 V 4 and 2 v 3.
  15. The semi-final and final will be decided over 20 boards, 10 boards in each half.
  16. Kibitzing will be allowed at the semi-final and final stage.
  17. The League Co-ordinator will set up the semi-final and final matches.
  18. The decision of the League Co-Ordinator into any matter or dispute shall be final.
