April 2025
Well here we are already nearly 4 months into the New Year and I am delighted that all our Bridge Sessions are proving popular.
Monday nights - Realbridge continues on line - and those who play says it's good fun as you can see everyone!
Wednesday nights - Our regular Wednesday night Bridge Club is going well with up to 8 or 9 tables - please do come along as it's a good social night as well.
Thursday afternoons - Coaching for Beginners, Improving your play and Casual Bridge in the Community Library.
With the Nola Dobson Tournament Final is just around the corner and with yours truly playing should be a real nailbiter! (or not)
So there is lots for us all to look forward to in the coming months.
Please let myself or anyone else on the committee know if you have any ideas or suggestions - we are more than happy to look at these.

| Hosting Programme |
An update on our Hosting facility:
Hosting is there to provide a Partner for anyone who arrives on Club Night (Wednesdays) without a partner. This presumes they are either new or are without their regular partner. Please note that you should use the 'Partner Required' tab on this website to find a partner as the first step. If all else fails then Nigel, John Pope and Simon are taking it in turns to be the Host at Club Nights.
Hosting is there to encourage new players to try duplicate on a club night. We also cater for previous members who may have lost their partner, and regulars who have not managed to find a partner through the Find a Partner email system on the website. We aim to use the service to fix up new partnerships by attracting solo players.

| Update on Covid |
It looks like cases of Covid are under control at the moment.
However we would ask that as individuals, it is vital that you do not attend the club, if you or anyone in your close family and friends are feeling unwell, as this could put all of us at risk, even though we are probably all up to date with our Covid jabs. If you feel safer wearing a mask then that is absolutely fine.
Your committee will continue to monitor the ongoing situation, and meet any Government guidelines as they arise.
I hope this will put your mind at rest that we will react in an appropriate way, and we trust you will all do the same.
Remember that we do have Realbridge on a Monday if you are anxious about face to face Club Night.
