Well I can't believe we are almost at the end of summer,  but I am delighted that all our Bridge Sessions continue to be well attended - so thanks to everyone for your support. 

Monday nights  - Realbridge continues on line - and those who play says it's good fun as you can see everyone!    

Wednesday nights -  Our regular Wednesday night Bridge Club is going well with up to 8 or 9 tables - please do come along as it's a good social night as well.

Thursday afternoons -   Coaching for Beginners, Improving your play and Casual Bridge in the Community Library.

The next Nola Dobson Tournament draw has now taken place and details are on our Web Site.    

Please let myself or anyone else on the committee know if you have any ideas or suggestions - we are more than happy to look at these.

Important update on our Hosting facility:

You will all be aware that we instigated, a few months ago, a Hosting facility for the club.  This has been running alongside our online 'Partner Required ' facility which is working well.

Our Hosting facility has not proved very popular,  and its use has been, in some cases quite difficult to facilitate.   So with immediate effect,  will will be stopping our Hosting option and continue to promote our Find a Partner facility.      

I hope you will understand our reasons for this decision, and please let me know if  you need a further clarification on this.

The MBBC 2025 AGM will be held on Wednesday 5th November starting at 7pm. Proposals must be submitted in writing (john.pope@btinternet.com) by Wednesday 22nd October, If you want to stand for election as a Committee Member please contact one of the MBBC Committee.

It looks like cases of Covid are under control at the moment.

However we would ask that as individuals, it is vital that you do not attend the club, if you or anyone in your close family and friends are feeling unwell, as this could put all of us at risk, even though we are probably all up to date with our Covid jabs.  If you feel safer wearing a mask then that is absolutely fine.

Your committee will continue to monitor the ongoing situation, and meet any Government guidelines as they arise.

I hope this will put your mind at rest that we will react in an appropriate way, and we trust you will all do the same.

Remember that we do have Realbridge on a Monday if you are anxious about face to face Club Night.
