You do not need to have a partner - just come along and partners will be found.
COMPLETE BEGINNERS FOUNDATION COURSES
New courses for Beginners are held throughout the year at regular intervals both in the evening and during the day.
Details of these Courses, thier content and dates are on the Beginners' Courses Page.
Please contact David at the Club for more information or to enrol.
There are a number of ongoing activities for Newcomers and Improvers:-
MONDAY AFTERNOON SUPERVISED DUPLICATE WITH PAUL MURRAY at 1pm
(Suitable for Improvers & Refreshers)
Paul gives a brief lesson at 1pm followed by Supervised Duplicate finishing around 4.15pm
Partners always found.
TUESDAY EVENING HYBRID DUPLICATE
(Suitable For Players of All Levels)
This is a friendly duplicate but played on Realbridge to give you a better chance to talk through boards with your partner and the opponents!
.
THURSDAY EVENING SWISS PAIRS at 7.15pm
(Suitable for Improvers upwards)
This is not supervised play but is an ideal stepping stone to 'the real thing!'
After the first round your pair is matched against players of a similar standard so it's a friendly and enjoyable experience but a good opportunity to mix with people who are more experienced.
We are hoping to organise a one off seminar with Ollie Burgess in the near future. Keep an eye on the main page of our website for more information.
