What to expect at Face-to-Face Games
No cash: Bring your credit card; first partner in the door should pay for both. This is a cleaner, more efficient method.
Drinks: We will offer coffee (free); you can buy water and soda.

ACBL Tournaments Procedures and Jargon

• Pigmented points are different for different types of competition:
  Black - Typically on club games, but occasionally a club offers silver etc.
  Silver - Pigment won at Sectionals
  Red - Pigment won at Regionals
  Gold - 1st Place at Regionals, Nationals
  Platinum - Pigment only won at Nationals in National Events

• Gold Rush Pairs - Players who are on their way to becoming life master (in a rush to get gold points!).

• Silver Lining Tournament - When a tournament awards only silver and black points.

Definitions of abbreviated special game names:

A sanctioned game is one approved by ACBL
CC: Club Championship. Each sanctioned game is entitled to one CC each quarter. Pays more than club games without extra card fees for players.
Membership Game: Each sanctioned game is entitled to one MG game per year. Pays more than club or CC games without extra card fees for players. Both players are required to be an ACBL member. If the partnership has one unpaid member, neither will receive any master points.
Club Appreciate Games: Held only for the month of October.
Pair CA:  No extra card fees and pays 81.25% of a sanctioned tournament game.
Team CA: No extra card fees and pays 81.25% of a sanctioned tournament game. 1st place pays up to .25 gold points with the balance in black points.
