Coming soon... Thursday afternoon sessions! |
♠ ♥ ♦ ♣
You asked, we listened...
Following requests from members, we are adding an extra afternoon session to our weekly timetable of events
The only available slot for this is Thursday afternoon. We offered the Thursday U3A group various other options but they found an alternative solution that suits them better so we bid a fond farewell to our U3A friends
We will be trialling this extra session on Thursday 3rd July (usual start time 1.30pm)
Looking forward to seeing you there!

Donate your old glasses (as in spectacles!) |
There's a box at the club for old glasses (not the drinking kind, the seeing kind!)
They are being collected for Cambodia
Any type, e.g. prescription, reading or sunglasses
Glasses cases too if you have any
A great way of de-cluttering old specs!

Wednesday evening sessions |
♠ ♥ ♦ ♣
Now that spring is finally here and the nights are lighter and warmer, do consider joining us for a friendly game of bridge on Wednesday evenings
Wednesday is the only evening session we have and we really don't want to lose it due to poor attendance
If people don't come because they think there won't be many tables, then it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy...
The first Wednesday of the month is Teams of Four and all other Wednesdays are regular Duplicate Pairs sessions
This is a great way of showing your support for the Club and, as a little thank you, there will be CAKE!!
The more the merrier!

Polite reminder to all members... |
Please be aware that some of our members might be more susceptible to germs than others.
For this reason, and out of consideration for all members, we respectfully request that you do NOT attend any bridge sessions if you are suffering from a cold, cough or any other condition that could be transmitted.
The handling of cards and bidding boxes makes this particularly relevant.
Thank you for your understanding, especially as we are now in the colds and flu season, not to mention the dreaded Covid which is still with us.

EBU at Lytham |
♠ ♥ ♦ ♣
We are affiliated to the English Bridge Union, which means our members benefit from the support offered by the country's governing body. Our members automatically become members of the EBU so they have the opportunity to earn master points and are able to monitor their personal progress and compare it with other local and national players. They can also play in EBU-sponsored events. Lytham Bridge Club is over 60 years old so we have plenty of experience to help our members.
