Should a player or team believe that a Tournament Director’s (TD) ruling is incorrect, they have the right to appeal.
The intention to appeal should initially be raised with the Director in charge of the session, the TD who made the ruling, the club’s Chief TD or a member of the Club’s Committee. The intention to appeal should normally be made at the end of the session, but if the ruling is made later, the intention to appeal must be logged by noon on the day after the day when all players were given the ruling.
All relevant facts about the original ruling and the grounds for the appeal should be gathered in writing as soon as possible. Normally an Appeals Form will be used. Information should be gathered from both partnerships involved and the TD who made the ruling.
