Psyches are legal, but the Loddon Vale Bridge Club discourages them.

Your partner and your opponents are trying to work out who holds what and telling them the wrong information will confuse them all and often means you do not reach the best contract. Psyching can also discourage less experienced players.

All Psyches should be reported to the Tournament Director (TD) when they become apparent (normally the end of the hand or the end of the auction period). The Tournament Director will record in the club’s Psyche Book all Psyches and any Deviation which he is asked to record.
