For these classes, there will be a short course on the topic (about 30 minutes). Then there will be set hands for some of them for participants to play with supervision.

For the classes indicated with a * there are no set hands on the topic. Instead there will be a ‘gentle duplicate’ session of about 12-15 pre-duplicated hands, with supervision and guidance – plus a copy of the hands.

The table money for the above, to include tea/coffee is £2.50, payable on the afternoon, with students being charged a nominal £1.00.

Sessions are open to non-members as well as Livesey Bridge Club members and associate members.

N.B. Notes on each of the topics will be provided to all participants.

These classes will resume in mid-September to cover the following topics:

• Signals in defence;
• Michael’s & Splinters
• Slam Bidding

Thereafter, it is intended to run a ‘gentle duplicate’ bridge session on a Sunday afternoon once a month from 2.00pm to 5.00pm, playing 18-20 pre-duplicated hands with supervision.
