Our AGM reconvenes 12:30 Thursday 17th April

14th December 2017
Hand 3: Unlucky for Some?

North-South should find themselves in 3NT (most did) and then make 12 or 13 Tricks (only one did)

If you get a Club Lead there is nothing to be gained by holding up - win the ♣ A and take the  finesse. When it works cash six Diamonds and five Hearts (they split 3-3) and the two Black Aces for thirteen.

A Heart lead (unbid suit) is quite likely and then you take your eleven red suit winners whilst you still have both black suits stopped

If you are playing it as South and get a Spade lead it is probably prudent to let it run round to your ♠ Q thereby losing a trick to the ♠ K
