Hand 14: 26 Points = Game Try?

Only Two N-S Pairs bid Game here, despite having 26 Points between them

The most likely explanation is that they were deterred by a weak jump overcall from West. An uncontested auction should reach 3NT via 1♣ - 1 - 3♣ - 3NT.

To avoid being derailed by the weak jump overcall North should double 2♠ as a Negative or Take-Out double showing four Hearts and 8+ Points.

Now South can bid 3NT with confidence or if they thik the Spades are too weak for that they can bid 3♠ as a Directional Asking Bid. This says "I have half a Stop in Opps Suit partner, bid NT if you have a Stop." With ♠ Qxx North would then bid 3NT.
