Update after 30 June:
We're halfway through the year, and The Links' BBO Masterpoint Race is heating up.
Merle Modlin & Sam Trocki have been dueling for a few months now, exchanging the lead multiple times, while Neville Eber, Helene Roberts and Tom Collinge are not far behind them.
Delys Shepard has a comfortable lead in the B bracket, with a few players challenging for 2nd place.
Jackie Solovei has a few points over Gill Blumberg & Fiona Smith in the C bracket.
The D bracket is rather bunched together, with Derek Lurie "comfortably" ahead over Miriam Treger by just under 2 points.
It's understandably a lot tougher in this D bracket, as these players average under 46%, so earning these BBO masterpoints is hard work.
The Top 10 leaderboards for each bracket can be found here.
The Links Bridge Club is the premier bridge club in Southern Africa.
We offer various sessions throughout the week, both online and face-to-face.
All players are welcome to come play, with membership required after several sessions.
Congratulations to Alan & Jenni Lewis for winning The Links' Pairs Championships. They played all 4 sessions, averaging 62.34% over their best 3 scores.
Susan Kacev & Ian Nankin weren't far behind in 2nd place, averaging 59.35% over the 3 sessions they played. They also comfortably won the handicap result, averaging 60.39% after handicaps were applied.
Cherrie Swartz & Pauline Kaplan were 3rd overall as well as on handicap with 58.65% & 56.41% respectively.
Jackie Solovei & Linda Kaufman were very close behind them in 4th with 57.75% & 56.03%.
