Mike Marshall

Leven Bridge Club is mourning the loss of Mike Marshall who passed away on Thursday 30th April after a long illness.  Mike was one of Leven's longest serving members and a former President of the club.  He first joined the club in 1972, partnering his Kirkland H.S. colleague Bob Hunter.  His membership was interrupted for a number of years while coaching football at East Fife and Falkirk but he returned in the early '90s.  Mike was a bold and imaginative player who enjoyed successful partnerships with Charlie Croll, Mike Gallacher and Gavin Christie.

Failing health meant that Mike was unable to play at all for the last 4 years.  However he will be very fondly remembered by all our members for his kindness, his mischievous sense of humour and his unfailing good nature.
