Green Pointed Swiss Pairs

One Day Green Pointed Swiss Pairs - Saturday 20 June 2026

Leicestershire Contract Bridge Association is running a Green Pointed Swiss Pairs event at the County Bridge Club, St Oswald Road, Leicester LE3 6RJ starting at 12:00 on Saturday 20 June 2026.  A total of seven 7-board rounds will be played and the event is expected to finish by 7pm.   The event is licensed by The EBU and pairs may employ any Partnership Understandings that are permitted at Level  2, 3 or 4, or 'Simple Systems', as detailed in the 7 August 2024  EBU Blue Book. In addition to Green Point awards for ranking and rounds drawn or won, there will be cash prizes for the top two or 3 pairs, dependent on the size of the entry field.

The cost of entry will be £40.00 per pair and both players must be members of the EBU.  Pairs wishing to enter should do so using the form below. Once you have completed the form, you should receive an acknowledgement email that will contain details of how to pay the entry fee and your entry will only be confirmed once the entry fee has been received by LCBA Treasurer. Should you not receive an acknowledgement email within 30 minutes of submitting the entry, please check your SPAM folder and, if there is no email there, please send an email to gpevents.lcba@gmail.com

Free tea, coffee and squash/water will be provided during the event and there will be a 30 minute break at about 15:30. Unfortunately, County Bridge Club is no longer able to offer the sale of other snacks and refreshments but space will be made available to competitors who wish to consume their own sandwiches or other light refreshments during the break. For those who wish to buy refreshments locally, there is a Greggs and a Co-op at the end of St Oswalds Road, and there are fridges available should contestants wish to store food in the clubhouse.

Please note that there is a capacity limit of 24 tables (48 pairs) for this event.  If the number of entries should exceed this, pairs will be placed on a waiting list in the order of their entry.
