Improver Bridge

Improver Classes

A few people have asked me about Improver classes. I am thinking of doing something that would suit anyone who is returning to bridge or who has been playing for a few years and would like to refresh their skills. If you are interested in something like this please get in touch by clicking on Contact Maureen in the left hand menu.

Playing Bridge Online

We use a combination of online apps in our classes and Play and Learn sessions.

Zoom  - I use this to share my presentation screens and also to discuss hands

Realbridge   - all play will be on this platform. It is an extremely easy platform to use and simulates playing at a real card table

Bridgebase   - we may use this for some supervised practice sessions

I have been using these apps to teach online since March. 2020 They work very well and the learners enjoy the classes. If you have any concerns please contact me and we can discuss it.

An interesting read in the Tribune magazine. Click here to read it

How can going one down be good bridge?

Bridge can be very competitive and one of the most closely fought battles is the part score battle. Here is a great article from Andrew Robson about how going one down can be good bridge. Click here to read the full article

Bridge Trainer is a great new site where you will find a selection of lessons designed for the complete novice or if you are already attending classes you can dive straight into the practice areas  It will help you to practice various bits of your bridge, and test your knowledge. It will help to put you in a position where you can start playing for real with a level of confidence and competence.
