| PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT! UPDATE |
 |
Here is a reminder of ways to improve your bridge over the autumn and winter months or simply have a bit of fun between competitions.
1. Larkhill Bridge Club holds the exclusive publication of TERRY’S TIPS. This magnificent archive is well worth a re-read and can be found in our yellow drop down menu. The best part is you can digest a little bit at a time at your own pace at a convenient moment.
2. Attend Adam’s free review for members after bridge on Thursdays.
3. Attend Adam’s Saturday morning bridge lesson or view his videos.
4. Both Trafford and Manchester Bridge Clubs hold coursesstarting in September and St Vincent’s holds Assisted Play sessions locally.
5. Zac Stocken runs his subscription service for a daily deal and explanation for £48 a year and a number of other benefits and weekly newsletter. He also has a column in the EBU magazine. Go to www.handle.bridge128.com
His methods follow ACOL as taught by Andrew Robson.
6. BBO has launched a new mobile training app called BBO TRAINER which can be downloaded from the Apple store or Google Play. There are both free and subscription models. They are offering 3 months free to our members.

| LARKHILL BRIDGE CLUB |
 |
Welcome to Larkhill Bridge Club
We are very happy to accept new members especially those who are looking for a friendly club where they can can play online and occasionally face to face and we warmly accept people who are unfamiliar with the online game as we are happy to offer tailored help and practice with these sessions and have a director who offers advice on the technical side and has produced some excellent videos. Location is not a problem when playing online as we have members playing even when on holiday abroad.
Started in May 2010 our intention was to encourage novice players and lapsed players to join more seasoned players in taking part in friendly, duplicate bridge.
We recommend you join us via RealBridge on Thursdays and Fridays. We ask that you log in at 1.45pm for a prompt start. We are an affiliated club and so you can enjoy all the benefits of being a member of the EBU including issues of their magazinr always available online through ‘My EBU’ on their website or have a copy posted to you if this is your preferred option. If you have any queries please contact Anne on 0161 283 2992.
We are renowned for our superb Christmas Party Buffets held at an attractive venue and heavily subsidized by the the club as a ‘thank you’ to our regular playing members.
We use the BriAnMAS accounting system for bridge clubs where members control their account and can request a statement at any time sent immediately by email. Renewals are notified by the treasurer and cost £10 a year.
All players must register online by 8.30pm the previous evening before playing for their first time. Members only on Thursdays (unless permission has been given by Chairman or Treasurer) Visitors who register are welcome to play on Fridays which we also run on RealBridge and pay £3 per game through our kitty system.
Our table money for Members remains very competitive at only £2.50 per player.
In addition to the bridge we also run a dining club so local members can socialise on an occasional basis. Details can be found in the yellow drop down menu on the left hand side of our webpage.
