The LCBA Championship pairs had 35 pairs at Blackburn BC on 2 Feb 2014. Winners of the Main Final were John Brearley & Ross Shine, Second Austin Barnes & Stuart Norris tied with Clive & Barbara Henderson, Fourth were Paul and Lyn Hepworth. These four pairs will go on to represent Lancashire in he 2014 Corwen Trophy. Winners of the Consolation Final were Nick & Sue Woodcock, runners up Bob Loveridge & Helen Montgomery. The LCBA Championship Pairs was well attended with 14 Tables at Blackburn Bridge Club.Sarah Amos ran the event very efficiently and the meal was excellent as always.

Winners were Nick & Sue Woodcock, Second Alan Whittam & Paul Evans, Third John Brearley & Ross Shine and Fourth Andrew Lum & David Costich and they qualify to represent Lancashire in the EBU Corwen Trophy. Full details on the results pages.

The LCBA Championship Pairs at Blackburn BC had 14 tables (with one missing pair) and was expertly run again by John Pyner on 7 Feb 2016. The fomat was the usual qualifier followed by a 14 pair all-play-all final (with carry forward) and a consolation final. The winners were Andrew Lum/David Costich, with Anne Burgess/John Dearing second, Nick/Sue Woodcock third and Dave Debbage/Andrew Woodcock fourth and these pairs have qualified to represent Lancashire CBA in the Corwen Trophy on the 4th/5th June 2016 at Birmingham Airport. There were 24 pairs at Blackburn for the LCBA Championship Pairs. The final was won by M Tomlinson/N Sutcliffe, with J Brearley/R Shine second, P Worswick/D Hammonds third and P & H Williams fourth. They will represent LCBA in the Corwen at the Holiday Inn, Birmingham Airport on the 10th/11th June 2017. The Consolation Final was won by B & L Wattleworth.

The Championship Pairs was held on Sun 4th Feb 2018 at Bolton Bridge Club. With only 16 Pairs, TD Rob Turner ran an all-play-all 2-session Event. Winners were A Barnes & S Norris, second A Lum & D Costich, third N & S Woodcock and fourth D & D Ault. These four pairs will be invited to represent Lancashire in trhe Corwen Trophy later in the year. See results page for the full final ranks.

There were 15 pairs playing in the LCBA Championsip Pairs ably run by Rob Turner at Bolton BC on  Sun 3 Feb 2019. Congratulations to the Winners J Dearing/J Stanforth, second were J Smith/J Pye, third J Brearley/R Shine and fourth N Sutcliffe/BLoveridge. These four pairs have earned the right to represent LCBA in the Corwen to be held on 1st/2nd June 2019 at the Mercure Hotel, Daventry.

There were 21 pairs at the LCBA Championship Pairs held at Bolton BC on 2nd Feb 2020. Winners were Keith Ashcroft & Rob Dixon, just ahead of second place Ross Shine & John Brearley, third were Stuart Clarke & Michael Fay, and fourth Mike Tomlinson & Andrew Petrie.  The full results are on the Bolton BC site.

The 2023 LCBA Championship Pairs took place over two Thursday evenings on BBO – 7pm Thursday 30 March and Thursday 6 April. Congratulations to the winners A.Petrie & R Bentley, 2nd R Shine & J Dearing, 3rd M Nicholson & D King, 4th A Purdy & D Briggs.  Thees 4 pairs have qualified to represent Lancashire in the  EBU’s Corwen Trophy which will take place online on the weekend of 3/4 June 2023 on RealBridge.
