It’s easy to become a member of the Lake Norman Bridge Center!
Becoming a member of the LNBC is easy! Just participate in our duplicate bridge games, lessons or other LNBC events and you will become a Non-Voting voting member. To become a Voting Member, you must have participated in at least one LNBC activity in at least 3 of the last 6 months. You do not need to be a member of the ACBL to join LNBC, but it is recommended. LNBC offers sanctioned bridge events which offer ACBL masterpoints©. The links below provide information about registration for the LNBC website.
Are you a member of the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL)?
Joining the ACBL provides several benefits, including tracking your masterpoints© earned at any sanctioned game anywhere in the world, at clubs, tournaments, resorts and cruise ships. The masterpoints help measure your progress toward your goals and recognition at local, regional and national levels. There are several companies which give discounts on purchases You also receive a monthly bridge magazine full of articles on improving all aspects of your bridge skills; recent tournament winners and future opportunities to play and learn. | ACBL Guest Memberships |
Free guest membership!
If you are new to bridge, perhaps taking a series of bridge lessons, playing in a club or private duplicate, simply want to learn more about bridge, you are eligible for a free 3-month guest membership in the American Contract Bridge League—commonly known as the ACBL. The guest membership allows you to sample the benefits available to ACBL members such as earning masterpoints, reading the monthly Bridge Bulletin online plus a weekly email from one of the top bridge teachers in this country.
As a member, you will have the ability to play in larger events, with many opportunities to compete with others at your skill level in nearby cities or travel with tournaments across the US, Canada, and Mexico.
Perhaps a seminar at a resort interests you. These are taught by some of the great players and teachers, and cover many topics that draw large numbers.
Do you like cruises? The ACBL has a full bridge program with lessons and duplicate games on sea days; to week-long Sectional or Regional tournaments where you can win the coveted gold, red, or silver points needed to rise through the Ranks to your Life Master goal. Some of the bridge seminars are on cruises.
If you are interested in a guest membership, just ask the director of your game, your teacher, Ella Rice, or any member of the LNBC board. They will assist you and submit the form to the ACBL.
If you enjoy the guest membership, you will receive a discount on your full membership for the first year. The full membership is $29 the first year. The full membership includes mailing the ACBL Bulletin to your home in addition to online access.
