Participants will get a deep appreciation or be able to develop or practice the life skills which are used in everyday life, why the game of Bridge is an immune system boosting (for older participants), life skill enabling (for working-age people), neural network expanding (for children) mind sport, aptly called GAME FOR LIFE.

Play of the cards

• Appreciation of play techniques

• Mental Mapping – Step by Step plan
• Achieving target armed with play techniques
• Additional techniques for Trumps.

Defense

• Thinking in defense – mapping unknowns
• Develop visualisation
• Standard Agreements
• Logical analysis for unknowns

Bidding – armed with knowledge of play of cards

• Hand evaluation - "How good are the cards I hold for our side"
• How to set realistic Partnership targets?
• Bidding strategy
• Risk vs rewards
• Partnership bidding

Pre-requisite for this training program - A reasonable understanding of the basics of the game, in particular basic terminologies like a Trick, Discards, Establishment of Winners, FINESSE, Losers, Trumps, Ruffing at a basic level. KSBA also conducts an introductory program called "MIND YOUR CARDS – an Introduction to Bridge". Anybody who attended that program is ideally suited to participate in this program.
