The Kincardine Charity Bridge Club is a friendly volunteer-run ACBL-sanctioned bridge club.

Our profit is donated to two local charities and to the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.

We have also run events to support the Kincardine Food Bank, the United Way, and other charities.

On Friday November 28 at 12:30 pm we will make another contribution to the two charities that we support.

Please arrive early for that game if you wish to watch the presentation.

Our next ACBL game is Monday November 17th 12:45 pm at the Davidson Centre.

This is a red point game.

Please arrive by 12:35 pm as our games often start 5-10 minutes early.

This game is free if you have never played at the KCBC before.

The KCBC Christmas party will be held Friday December 05 at the Ripley Legion - 18 Jessie Street Ripley

Happy hour will take place at 4:30 pm followed at 5:45 pm by a turkey and ham supper.

Coffee tea and dessert included, and there will be a cash bar.

Tickets are $40 (guests are welcome) - see Nancy Craig, Sue Martin, Susan Morrison or Rose Marie Young.

Please purchase your tickets by Friday November 21.

If you need transportation to the party, contact one of the above and a ride will be arranged.

 The KCBC is adding an ACBL-sanctioned bridge game on occasional Wednesday mornings.

The next one is Wednesday November 19 from 9:00 am to noon and is a black-point game.

These games are free if you have never played at the KCBC before.

Most weeks our Wednesday morning session will be a non-ACBL-sanctioned mentor game.

Check our website to see future dates for Wednesday ACBL-sanctioned games.

The ACBL is offering a free one hour "Introduction to Bridge" session for beginners.

There are five different dates for this session in October and November.

The ACBL is offering a 10-week beginner bridge lesson set starting soon.

There are three different starting times for these lessons - morning, afternoon, or evening.

There are also follow-up lessons for those who complete the beginner set.

Our Bridge Club

♣ We play in the Miller Insurance room at the Davidson Centre - 601 Durham Street in Kincardine.

♣ We run three weekly bridge events - the cost of each event is $5 per person.

♣ Registration in advance is required for each of these events.

♣ KCBC events are scent-free - please do not wear perfume, after-shave, etc.

Games.

♠ There is an ACBL-sanctioned bridge game 12:45 pm Monday and Friday (some stat holidays excepted).

♠ Please arrive by 12:35 pm - our games start on time or even early at time

♠ There is an ACBL-sanctioned bridge game 9:00 am  Wednesday once per month - check our calendar for more details.

♠ Please arrive by 8:50 am - our games start on time or even early at times.

♠  On stat holidays we usually play at an alternate site near the Davidson Centre.

♠ We play about 27 boards each game.

♠ There is no extra charge for special games.

♠ We will provide a partner if you need one.

♠ Contact Tom to register in advance and be guaranteed a partner.

♠ STaCs and other special games are usually run but are not guaranteed.

Lessons

♦ There is a bridge mentor game at 9:30 - 11:30 pm every Wednesday when there is no scheduled ACBL game.

♦  Sometimes a brief lesson is given at 9:00 am - check the  website for details.

♦ Experienced advisors are present - you may ask questions about bidding, declarer play, and defence. 

♦ Scores are not recorded and results are not published. 

♦ No partner is needed for these games - just show up.
