Our Charity Work

In the last 10 years, KCBC has donated $37000 to the Huron Shores Hospice, the Women's House Serving Grey and Bruce, and the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.

Thanks to the Davidson Centre and the Town of Kincardine for providing an excellent venue for our games.

Thanks also for the support of the excellent staff at the Davidson Centre.

Our profit is donated to two local charities.

We also make donations to the Davidson Centre in Kincardine.

► Congratulations to Dermott O'Reilly and Steve Jolley who finished 3rd overall in Canada and 1st in both the B division and the C division in the Friday afternoon STaC game at KCBC.

► Congratulations to Guy and Sheila Murray who finished 7th overall in Canada and 4th in the B division in the Friday afternoon STaC game at KCBC.

► Congratulations to Ralph Knowles and Don Titherington who finished 26th overall in Canada, 13th in the B division, and 7th in the C division in the Friday afternoon STaC game at KCBC.

Our Bridge Club

♣ We play in the Miller Insurance room at the Davidson Centre - 601 Durham Street in Kincardine.

♣ We run four weekly bridge events - the cost of each event is $5 per person.

♣ Registration in advance is required for each of these events.

♣ KCBC events are scent-free - please do not wear perfume, after-shave, etc.

 

Games

♠ There is an ACBL-sanctioned bridge game 12:45 pm Monday and Friday (stat holidays excepted).

♠ Please arrive by 12:35 pm - our games start on time or even early at times.

♠ We play about 27 boards each game.

♠ There is no extra charge for special games.

♠ We will provide a partner if you need one.

♠ Contact Tom to register in advance and be guaranteed a partner.

♠ STaCs and other special games are usually run but are not guaranteed.

 

Lessons

 There is a bridge mentor game at 9:30 - 11:30 pm every Wednesday (stat holidays excepted).

 Experienced advisors are present - you may ask questions about bidding, declarer play, defence. 

 Scores are not recorded and results are not published. 

 No partner is needed for these games - just show up.

 

 There is a bridge lesson at 9:30 - 11:30 pm every Friday (stat holidays excepted).

 The topics for January - April are various strategies about Play of the Hand.

♦ No partner is needed for these lessons - just show up.

 

 Beginner lessons may be offered if there is enough demand.

 The first 10-week course costs $50 and includes two reference books.
