Sending Bulk Emails |
Important Notes, read first:
- Our website has a feature where emails can be sent to a group, or all members, or just one member.
- It is best practice to use your own email address to just one recipient, rather than send through the website.
- Generally only use this feature to send to a specific group (eg dealers), or all members.
- Remember there is no such thing as a private email with this feature - anyone who can get into Website Administration can read this email by clicking on Email Log.
- To view the general Help for this feature, click on https://www.bridgewebs.com/guide/index.html. Go down to Membership in the menu, expand that and then click on Bulk Email. and the next 2 topics.
Composing and Sending the Email
- To access the Email Members page, click on Membership, then on Email Members.
- Selection Criteria let you choose whom you want to receive this email. If you want to send to a specific group, click on the box next to that group name. eg "Thursday" for people on the Thursday spare player roster. Send it just to yourself the first time you use this feature, so put your name in the Name field.
- Subject - set the subject as you would do for normal email from your own account.
- Reply To - set this to YOUR email address. Otherwise if anyone replies it will be sent to kiamainc@bridgewebsemail.com, which currently is set to the web admin person. They then need to forward this to you, so remember to set this to your email address.
- Greetings - Set this if you want Bridgewebs to automatically set up the first line with a greeting.
- Message - Type your message and format it using the icons provided.
- Link - This is useful if you want to attach a document which should have already been uploaded to the website. You can also link to other news items on the website. If you are not attaching a document, set this to NO LINK.
- Selection/Un tick - Look in this right panel and check that you are sending this to the right people! Then click on Send Email.
