The Kelso Congress 2026 was held at the Ednam House Hotel on Sunday 21st June.  We thoroughly enjoyed hosting the Congress and thank all those attending for great bridge and a very convivial atmosphere.  Special thanks go to Sarah and all the staff of Ednam House Hotel for the venue and hospitality, to our Tournament Director Matthew Robb for his excellent supervision of the bridge competitions and to Lloyd Motor Group for sponsorship.  It was a pleasure to work with you and we hope to renew our partnership in future years.  We will be hosting the event again next year.  Reserve the date in your diary!  20th June 2027.

The winners of the Pairs Competition were Jane Smithson and Trish Frew with Nicky Traynor/Steven Funai, Niall Tennant/Jack Shearer and Lorna Matheson and Allan Downie second, third and fourth respectively.  Congratulations to you all

Andrew Harborow, Jack Shearer and Niall Tennant successfully defended their title from last year's Congress Teams Competition in the evening, along with Troy Van De L'isle.  We congratulate you again on your victory.

We also congratulate Cathy MacPherson and Anne Coles for winning the best-placed local pair in the Pairs competition

One of the benefits of events like these is that they provide an opportunity for relationships between clubs and individuals to build and consolidate.  We hope that the Kelso Congress will continue to be a vibrant platform in that respect.
