Shrewsbury Bridge Break

The Shrewsbury Bridge Break at the Prince Rupert Hotel was as much fun as we hoped. 42 of us had an enjoyable 3 days in this historic town. Much good food and good wine helped things along and the bridge was brilliant.

Once the smoke had cleared, the pairs' prize-winners were Mick Peel & Ric Swindell, Mark Barratt & Peter Levy, Lesley & Ray Williams, Andrea Knowles & Karen Pennington, Andrea O'Rafferty & David Murray, Anne Hughes & Clive Morris, Barbara Fraser & Kati Woodroffe and Rosalie Griffin & Melloney Lenk. The teams' competition was won by Andrea O, Mick, Ric & David M with Steve, Julia, Ella Phillips & David Pearce a (very) close second. Well done!

The raffle was won by Christine Finch.

The next holiday eagerly is anticipated. Watch this space!

The full results are under the results tab.

Thanks to Andrea Knowles for the pictures which are also on the tab.

Tuesday Morning Bridge - Latest News

November 8th 2022.

There were a record number of players on November 8th. 78 bridge players enjoyed a competitive session and we managed to complete 8 rounds in both sections without any difficulty. Congratuations to the winners, Indra Gupta & Virendra Chinoy and Katherine Woodroffe & Judy Chaudhri. Runners-up, not far behind, were Suresh Mehta & Tim Foster and David Grimshaw & Tony Bowden.

Thank-you to everybody who supports us - it's great to see the room full!

If numbers remain high, we may well have 3 sections next week.
