From Monday 13th April 2020 @ 19:30 and every Monday evening thereafter Hutton Duplicate Bridge Club will be holding  it’s normal bridge session via Bridge Base Online (BBO).

The sessions will initially consist of 18 boards and will be EBU graded for both Master Points and NGS where posible. You’ll be playing not just with and against real people but those who are primarily members of our club or players with whom you’re familiar, using systems not as random and vague as some of those to be found generally online. Of course the idea is that you will also arrange to play with your normal or regular partner, but we will also manage a ‘partnership desk’ to accommodate singles.

It will be necessary for players to register for a BBO account (free) and familiarise themselves with the system a little bit, we will also need to be advised in advance of their usernames and intention to play. This will be a Hutton Club session and it will be uploaded to the EBU. The sessions will approximate the normal club table money; table money is charged at BB$3 for both members and non-members. That is, your BBO account will be debited to the tune of $3 when you join the session. 

Once you we have your username you can register for (join) the event as below:

• From 60 mins prior to the session log onto BBO
• From the main screen select/click ‘COMPETITIVE’
• From the next screen select/click ‘ALL TOURNAMENTS’
• From the next screen search for ‘HUTTON’
• From the next screen ‘REGISTER, INVITE PARTNER’ or add your name to the ‘PARTNERSHIP DESK’ partners will be found via the partnership desk.

Please note that your partner must be online when you 'invite' them in order to accep, you may choose to pay for them or not.

If you had not told us of your username prior to doing this you will see a message to say you are a ‘Blocked User’. So long as there’s enough time we could still enter you but you should telephone/text or send a message through the online chat system quickly.
