16/03/2020: Today the government has advised that "Everyone should avoid gatherings and crowded places, such as pubs, clubs and theatres". The government's chief medical adviser has commented that "People over the age of 70... [should take]...particular care to minimise their social contact". With these two points in mind, the committee of Horley Bridge Club has determined that we have no option but to suspend bridge sessions until further notice. The health of our membership is our first and overriding concern. We are sorry that we have to do this, and we thank you for your cooperation. Stay safe, stay well, and keep watching this space for updates.

Please note that table money for members and guests will be increased by 50p per session to £3 and £4 respectively from Monday 20th May. This was voted on and agreed unanimously at the 2019 AGM on 15th May 2019.

It's always great when there is a host available, so that you can arrive at the club on your own and be assured of a game. Attendances have been really good when a host has been available!
Would you like to play bridge for free? Then simply volunteer to be host for a Bridge session at the club! If you get a game at the session for which you have volunteered, that session will be free. If you do not get a game, yournext session will be free.
The small print: One free-play voucher available per hosted session. In the case where two or more members volunteer to be host at the same bridge session, the first member to email HorleyBridge@outlook.com will gain the free-play voucher.
Would you be prepared to be a host for one or more Bridge Sessions? If so, please email HorleyBridge@outlook.com and let us know the session(s) where you are available. We'll then add an entry to our Host Available web page. We're always looking for hosts but we appreciate transport/distant considerations mean that this needs to be on a voluntary basis only.
Are you looking for a game of bridge but don't have a partner? Then please check the Host Available web page to see if one is available on the day that you want, and if there is a host just turn up at the club and you will get a game!
Are you looking for a game of bridge but there's no host available on the day you want? If so, please email HorleyBridge@outlook.com and we will distribute an email to the membership.
Parking is restricted on the first Monday of every month at the Horley Baptist Church. If all the normal parking spaces are full there is overflow parking near the Innes Pavilion, which is a 6 minute walk from the church. Click here for a map and directions.
Please speak to a Committee member if you would like to borrow one of the Club's bridge tutorials on DVD. Further details may be found by clicking here.
Guests are always welcome at normal pairs events at Horley Bridge Club. We do hope that guests will "test drive" our club up to four times a year, after which we do hope that you will consider membership (click this message for an application form). Please note (club Bye-Law 4) that no guest may partner another guest at one of our simultaneous pairs event.
You can send an email to the club at firstname.lastname@example.org
