Summer Refreshers Course

Simon will run a Refresher and Improvers series of seminars on the more common aspects of the game during the summer .

These will consolidate what is taught on the Beginners course and take one or two areas a little further.

All will be held on Wednesday mornings from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

- cost £10 charged to members cashless accounts

it is not essential to attend all sessions although obviously some are better taken in pairs.

New Beginner's Course

Our next beginner's course will start on Monday 5th October at 7.15 p.m.

Volunteers needed to help at the Hitchin Market Square Gazebo on Saturday September 26th. Just come down for as long as you can, play a few boards, introduce passers by to the benefits of bridge and help enrol students for beginners course in October..

Anniversary Party 2026

Anniversary Pairs competition. Friday October 2nd at Letchworth Golf Club starting at 12 noon

A two course Carvery lunch followed by a Stratified bridge session. There will be 3 categories based on NGS grades as at 01/10/26 and prizes will be awarded in all 3 with the overall winners receiving the trophy..

£25 per player charged to your club account.

The Hitchin Bridge Club plays both online and face to face.

Face to face sessions and bridge lessons are held in the church hall

of Our Lady's R C Church 16 Nightingale Road Hitchin SG5 1QS

Bridge Schedule

F2F in the Church Hall

Monday afternoon - duplicate pairs at 1 p.m.

Monday evening - supervised play at 7.15 p.m. - for less confident and less experienced members and course graduates, partners not required.

Tuesday afternoon - duplicate pairs at 1 p.m.

Wednesday afternoon - restricted duplicate pairs at 1 p.m. . This is a shorter session playing usually 18/21 boards and finishing at 4 p.m. Players are restricted to a partnership NGS of 16 or less.

Thursday evening - duplicate pairs at 7.15 p.m.

Real Bridge

Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.

All events are free at the point of entry, members are invoiced monthly. F2F sessions £3. Online sessions £2.50. Supervised play £4.

For f2f sessions please turn up at least 10 mins before the start time.

Members only but new players are able to have 2 free sessions before joining.
