An Open event for members and non-members below the EBU rank of Master (5000 Local Points). Initially this cup was presented to the Pair that qualified from the County for the EBU National Newcomers Final. This ceased after two years and the HBA then ran a County Newcomers event and subsequently changed it to the HBA Cadet championship.
