The 7 High Pairs competition is specifically aimed at our less experienced members. The HBA have been in discussion with Barnet U3A RealBridge Group (one of Herts affiliated clubs) and we are delighted to announce that this event will be run on a slightly different basis than formerly: we will stage one of Barnet's regular RealBridge Friday morning sessions under the HBA banner. In addition to players in this competition, the session will also be open to all Barnet players as usual. However whilst everyone will play the same set of boards, the results will be stratified - i.e. there will be separate set of results for all the players (Barnet and otherwise) whose NGS is no higher than 7.

Duplicate Pairs, 20 boards at a relaxed pace. |
| Eligibility: |
HBA members with an NGS grading of 7 or less at the time of entry.
If you are unsure of your NGS rating, you can check it by logging into the "My EBU" section on the EBU website or your club will able to tell you or you can email Alan Woof, HBA Membership Secretary: ajwo56@hotmail.com.

| Conventions: |
Players are only allowed to use conventions that are permitted under 'Level 2' systems. These include the common English systems but not artificial bids which may be weak e.g. multi two diamonds. See the EBU site for more details. |
| Entries: |
Pre-entry for non-Barnet members is required. You may enter at any time prior to the day of the session. Barnet members should follow their usual procedure and do not need to enter here.

| Masterpoints: |
Masterpoints will be awarded (on the county scale) for both the usual Barnet session but also the HBA 7 High Pairs event within it. |
