HBC ZERO TOLERANCE

The Hendersonville Bridge Center is a Zero-Tolerance Bridge Club. Below are some examples of commendable behavior, which, while not required, will significantly contribute to a pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere:

  • Being a good 'host' or 'guest' at the table.
  • Greeting others in a friendly manner
  • Praising the bidding and/or play of the opponents
  • Having two clearly completed convention cards readily available to the opponents (This one is a regulation, not just a nicety)

The following are some examples of behavior which will not be tolerated:

  • Badgering, rudeness, insinuations, intimidation, profanity, threats, or violence
  • Negative comments concerning opponents' or partner's play or bidding.
  • Constant and gratuitous lessons and analyses at the table.
  • Loud and disruptive arguing with a director's ruling.

When approaching the venue the entrance to the parking lot is before the building. There are 5 handicapped spots right in front of the building by the front door. Around the corner between the two red brick buildings is a parking lot we can use for overflow parking.
Below see an example of the suggested parking. Start along the side of the building, then 2 rows leaving enough room for the first row to back out, finally you can park along the tree line.
Below see an example of the suggested parking within the overflow area. Please note that we have been asked NOT to park next to the first building, you can park next to the second building or on the other side of the second building.
