Monday Morning Duplicate - Open to All
9.15am to 12 noon
This session is for any member who wishes to play duplicate in a more relaxed environment. You do not need to have a partner, just turn up early or contact Max Rostron beforehand.
There will be a competiton over 13 weeks from 6th January to 30th March where the best 6 scores will be taken into account.
Please note that this is a short session of 21/2 hours where the number of boards played is likely to be around 16. Because of this we may not be able to award master points.
Please contact Max Rostron or Rob Cave for more details.
We are running 5 teams of 4 pairs in the Yorkshire League this season.
The remaining matches are: 16th Feb & 8th March
We are a welcoming and friendly bridge club catering for players of all standards. We run seven pairs sessions per week and a supervised play afternoon for those who want to practice before they step up to duplicate. We also have classes for beginners and intermediates, and occasional instruction on specific topics.
Visiting pairs are always made welcome.
For the more competitive players we have five teams in the Yorkshire Sunday League. Many of our players also group together to make teams of four that play in the Harrogate and District Bridge League against more local opposition.
Harrogate Bridge Club is located in the centre of this beautiful spa town. The club has its own private premises and is well established with over 250 members. In addition to our playing areas, the club has a kitchen and a licensed bar. HBC is a member of the English Bridge Union, EBU, and the Yorkshire Contract Bridge Association, YCBA. We use the Bridgemate wireless scoring system so that results are updated as you play. Hand copies of each session can be taken away and are also available once the results are posted on the website.
The new Club Handbook is available for collection.
Please note that it now includes members' contact details where consent has been given. The Members Only section of the webpage which last year held this information has been discontinued.
Opt In to Receive a Diary for 2020/21 (Next Year)
From 2020 if you wish to receive an EBU diary you will need to opt in. This is to reduce the number of unwanted diaries which are sent out which obviously has both an environmental and financial impact. To opt in to receive the diary you will need to login to My EBU and check the appropriate tick box, even if you were previously marked to receive it.
