| Do What You Love to End ALZ! |
Since 2013, the ACBL and bridge clubs across North America (including the Harrisburg Bridge Club) have partnered with the Alzheimer's Association to raise funds for research and care. To date, bridge players have raised more than $12 million.
In 2026, the Alzheimer's Association expanded its annual The Longest Day fundraiser into Do What You Love to End ALZ™. The updated name reflects a broader vision: do what you love to honor who you love.
Since we all love bridge, the Harrisburg Bridge Club will donate all entry fees paid during the week of June 15-20 to the Alzheimer’s Association, so every time you play that week, you are contributing to the cause. But you can do more! Consider adding to your donation by writing a check (payable to Alzheimer’s Association) – there will be a donation can at the seller’s table where checks (or cash) can be left. Or make a pledge of any amount for each point that the Club’s unofficial trivia team (Bridge Mix) earns during Tuesday night trivia on June 16. Or think of an activity that you love almost as much as bridge and create your own fundraiser. Use your imagination, have some fun, and help us support the work of the Alzheimer's Association.
