"Bridge puts me in touch with so many interesting, friendly, fun people who I would not have had the opportunity of meeting before. It’s always fun, always challenging!" - Laura, Winchester
How to learn bridge
There are two aspects to learning bridge. The first is to learn the game (or refresh your memory, if you have played before) on a course. The second is to play, whether online or face to face.
If you would like to do a course, our club runs a Beginner's Course each year, starting in October. Details are now on the Home page. If you are further afield, other Hertfordshire clubs also put on teaching programmes - see the Herts Bridge Association's site for more information.
Alternatively, the English Bridge Union (EBU), the national body for bridge in England, has a service that will help you find a teacher and enroll on a course starting soon. All the details are here.
As soon as possible we will help you to start playing at a suitable level. We have post-mortem sessions on Monday afternoons - these are a good first step - and relaxed games on a Friday afternoon in the hall at Kinsbourne Green by St Mary's church. If those times do not work for you, you can also play online with the EBU.
