Funeral Service at 10.00 am on Monday 6th July in Bothwell Parish Church, Main Street, Bothwell G71 8EX,  thereafter to Daldowie Crematorium at 11.00 am followed by refreshments.

In lieu of flowers there will be a collection for charity.

Sadly Eleanor has passed away peacefully on Wednesday 17th June with her family by her side.

I first met Eleanor when we attended Joan’s classes to learn to play bridge, starting in 2008. We became partners and close friends, playing regularly in the club and eventually online. Eleanor served on the board for many years, becoming a very efficient membership secretary at the time Mempad was just getting started. 

She threw herself into learning what was required and setting up all the necessary databases. Her favourite part of the remit was when she got the chance to phone and blether to folks. She would be the first to admit she enjoyed a chat! 

Eleanor will be greatly missed by her many bridge friends and most especially by husband Stewart, daughters Julie and Jennifer and her three grandchildren.

Larry’s funeral will take place at South Lanarkshire Crematorium on Friday 3rd of July at 1.00 pm, thereafter to Torrance Hotel, Main Street, East Kilbride.

It is with great sadness that we inform members of the passing of Larry McClemont.  Larry died peacefully in his sleep in his own home.  Larry joined the club from East Kilbride almost 15 years ago, partnered Iain Sleigh and served on the Board for 5 years.  Larry was a real gentleman and will be sorely missed at the club

Larry had previously worked for Mctaggert & Mickel and also played the piano semi professionally.

He leaves his wife Ann and children Stephen & Lorna. Our thoughts are with them at this sad time.
