Members who have played F2F or Online with the club a minimum of 12 times in the past 12 months or 6 times in the last 3 months shall be eligible to play in club major competitions. Any variation from this shall be at the discretion of the trustees. Anyone who believes they should be exempt from the eligibility rules, should advise the trustees why they believe they should be exempt.

All contestants in future club competitions must have played F2F at the club within 28 days of the relevant club competition. These to be normal club sessions, not Sunday league or similar

Entry to the Improvers Pairs (Minnie Owen Cup) is also restricted to players with an EBU NGS of Five or less. The NGS to be that prevailing at the entry date.

If members, having indicated entry, do not attend without appropriate explanation, they would be deemed ineligible for the next club championship.

All competitions must have a minimum of four tables, except for the Swiss Teams which must have a minimum of eight.

Competitions will start at 7pm and competitors are asked to be seated ten minutes before that. We have introduced some new competition formats for the 2024-25 calendar. The calendar for 2024-25 is as follows:
