Pivot teams Monday 15th June 2026

The Pivot teams will be held on Monday 15th June, 7pm at the club. We need an even number of teams to run the event so pre-registration is required. I have opened a web form below or you can e-mail me and I will add your names.

It is a teams of 4 event, and you 'rotate' partners after each round so you will play at least one round partnering each member of your team.

I look forward to seeing you on the night.

YCBA Summer Handicapped Simultaneous pairs- Thursday 25th June

The club will be hosting the YCBA Handicapped Simultaneous Pairs event which will take place on Thursday 25th June, 7pm at the club.

There are 9 participating bridge clubs, with all heats playing the same set of boards. You will get a 'local' result on the night and then the results from all the heats will be combined. Results will be adjusted based on players NGS. Last time one of the pairs from Halifax was ranked in the top 3 pairs across Yorkshire. If you need help finding a partner please get in touch via e-mail or complete the Webform

There is no need to pre-register, please just turn up on the night by 6.45pm for a 7pm start.

RealBridge

♠  RealBridge  ♣

The use of video and audio makes RealBridge the closest thing you can get to playing F2F, but you can play RealBridge without video and/or audio. In fact, you don't even need to have a camera or microphone, or you can turn your video and audio off if you like, but audio is useful in that it means you can talk to the other players and don't have to type your chat. Before joining a RealBridge session, if you haven't done so previously and you intend to use video and audio, test your camera and microphone by

To join a RealBridge session.

15 minutes before the start time Click Here, or on the link to the right of this advert on the day, or on the link on the "Calendar" page.

If it asks if you want to "Allow RealBridge to use your camera and microphone" say "Allow"Enter your first and last names in the "Full name" box as it would appear in the results on this website. Enter your EBU number in the "ID number" box. The Session Key should have been filled in automatically or left blank. Put a tick in the box for "High contrast UI" if you are colour blind, then click the "Login" button.

This will take you into the "Lobby" from where you will be able to see the tables and seats, if your partner is there sit opposite your partner or if your partner isn't seated sit at a low numbered table.

If you don't have a partner sit at the highest numbered table, if there is someone else there without a partner then ask them if they would like to be your partner and discuss what system you are going to play, then move to a low numbered table.

Please don’t stay in the lobby, it makes it harder for us to talk to you and to get the session started on time.

If two of you are playing in the same room at home, one of you may need to move otherwise, there may be an echo (feedback).

If there is a lot of background noise in the room, please mute your microphone until you want to speak.
