3.4.4 What can Members Do?

There are a number of "Member" related features in Bridgewebs and you may wish to allow some of these and prevent others. Most of this is controlled from "Web Administration" - Settings - "Members".

Members Only    
Do members need to login to view Results? No/Yes Use "Yes" to prevent "Public" Access
Do members need to login to view Competitions? No/Yes Use "Yes" to prevent "Public" Access
Do members need to login to view Personal Analysis? No/Yes Use "Yes" to prevent "Public" Access
Do members need to login to access RealBridge login? No/Yes Use "Yes" to prevent "Public" Access
Do you want to restrict access to information via the Bridgewebs "App"? No/Yes Generally should be set to "No"
     
Find a Partner feature    
Do you want to use the "Find a Partner" feature? No/Yes If "No" completely turns "Find a Partner" off
Partner Finder generally active? No/Yes If "No", you will need to set for individual events via the Calendar
If "Yes", all events will be allowed unless turned off e.g. when your event says "Closed" or "Prebooked"
Allow "Partner Finder" through Calendar? No/Yes To use the Calendar feature for "Find a Partner" set to "Yes"
Allow Bridgewebs "Emails" through Calendar? No/Yes Yes to allow requester to send email to other members.
If Bridgewebs emails through Calendar allowed, who should they go to ? No
Yes, Anyone

Yes, by NGS
NO or
For small clubs, can be set to "Anyone"
For larger clubs, you might wish to set a "Group" who can receive emails
Or you might want to select Members by NGS, this will select NGS +/- 2 Grades
If "By Group", which group of members allowed to receive Calendar Partner Finder emails?   If using 'Yes, by group' , enter the email group here . Default is 'P' but if using a different one , make sure it is set up in Membership - Options.
     
Bookings feature    
Do you want to use the "Bookings" feature? No/Yes If "No" completely turns "Bookings" off
Booking generally active? No/Yes If "No", you will need to set for individual events via the Calendar
If "Yes", all events will be allowed unless turned off e.g. when your event says "Closed" or "Prebooked"
Allow "Booking" through Calendar? No/Yes To use the Calendar feature for "Bookings" set to "Yes"
What term do you use for a Booking? Booking
Reservation
Some refer to this by different names but means the same

Choice of table direction allowed?

No/Yes Set to 'Yes' if you members are allowed to show a preference for 'N/S' or 'E/W'.
Maximum Tables (x 2 pairs) allowed per event? No Limit or number Specify capacity for event. This can be overridden at event level via the Calendar.
How far in advance to Open Bookings?

Anytime
1/2/3/4 Weeks ahead

Set to ‘Anytime’ if players can book as soon as the event is on the Calendar. Otherwise choose one of the ‘Weeks ahead’ options. This can be overridden at event level.
Allocate 1 pair slot for Director? No/Yes

Only applicable with Table Limit. If set to ‘Yes’, a pair slot is reserved for the Director. This can be overridden at event level.
Note if using this option, Director should not book via the normal booking method.

     
General "Find a Partner/Bookings" options    
Do members need a password to "View" the "Find a Partner/Bookings"? No/Yes Use this if you do not want the Public to view the List
Do members need a password to access "Member Only"? No/Yes Do Members need to enter a password to access 'Members Only' area.
Do members need a password to "Set" an entry in the Calendar "Find a Partner/Bookings"? No/Yes Use this if you are OK with Members using just their Affiliation Number
Are Visitors (registered on BWMDB) allowed access to Calendar “Find a Partner/Bookings”?
No/Yes
If yes, any visitor registered on the BW Database will be able to book/Request a Partner via Calendar Month, otherwise only current members will have access.
Do you want to show the date the entry was created? No/Yes If yes, entry will be date stamped.
What login method is allowed? Email: Name: No: When providing instructions for your Members, you might prefer that they login by Affiliation No or Email
If pre-registered, do you want to allow visitors to apply for membership through the login option? No/Yes If "Yes" a simple "Registration" screen will show that can be used by Visitors to send the club an email.
